Our Chartered Building Surveyors have experience in dealing with Major Loss; Domestic and Commercial Claims; Fire Damage, Flood Claims; Expert Witness; Subsidence, etc. We provide emergency reactive and temporary repairs making safe the building and liaising with insurers to reinstate and repair premises. Our intention is to help you return your property to its pre loss condition in an efficient and timely manner.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Survey and appraisal of current condition of the asset and preparation of maintenance and budgetary forecast typically over 10 years to reduce the cost and inconvenience of emergency and reactive works. We can also advise on procurement and implementation of the works to offset dilapidations liabilities for tenants and to preserve the asset value of the premises.

Building Pathology & Repair

This service includes diagnosis and reporting on property defects and issues and provides recommended solutions and assistance with repairs.

Building Reinstatement Insurance Valuation

To value the cost of building reinstatement to ensure the property assets are adequately insured.

Design & Compliance

Ensuring your project is delivered in a safe and sustainable manner, observing statutory provisions of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, undertaking the Principal Designer role where required.

Dilapidations
Working for either landlords or tenants pre and post lease expiry to negotiate and agree each parties’ respective liabilities as determined by the leasehold documentation, including liaison with agents, valuers and lawyers where applicable.

Party Wall Matters
We advise building owners and adjoining owners on all matters in relation to the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, whether this be works to existing party walls, construction on the boundary line or excavation near to neighbouring buildings.

Expert Witness Reports
Given our expertise, we are often instructed to provide expert witness reports for arbitration, mediation or litigation purposes. Our professionals may be appointed as an expert by one of the parties or as a joint expert witness by both parties, abiding by the Civil Procedure Rules, RICS Practice Statements and Codes of Practice and statutory instruments.
