Ben joined us in October 2022. He studied Geography at the University of Portsmouth and then went on to study Real Estate at the University of Reading. He loves travelling, the outdoors and he’s a Scout leader in his spare time. Ben has joined on our graduate rotation programme starting his first rotation in the professional department with Steve and team in the Valuation team.

Andrew has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 20 years’ and has extensive commercial property experience in private practice as well as client-side estates surveyor roles at First Quench Retailing, Sally Salon Services and most recently City Plumbing.

He joined the firm in 2022 and is focussed on lease advisory and valuation instructions for a range of occupier and investment clients.

Winnie joined the bf team in 2019 as an Assistant Accountant, having prevously worked in the e-cigarette industry for 6 years as accountant. Part qualified ACCA.

Vicki joined the bf team in 1998 to provide administrative support. Having worked across the Business, she has extensive knowledge of all Departments. Now working for the Retail + Leisure Agency Team, Vicki provides invaluable support ensuring the smooth running of all the administration for her team.

Trevor has spent over 35 years amassing an extensive knowledge of the commercial property market. Having joined the firm in 1990, he became a Partner just two years later and was instrumental in the merger of Freeth Melhuish and Brasier Harris to form Brasier Freeth in 2008. Trevor’s much-respected expertise has resulted in him securing many high profile occupier clients, private investors, institutional landlords and developers for our Office + Industrial Agency team.

Tim joined the bf team in 2012 as a Graduate Surveyor, having completed a Masters in Real Estate at Sheffield Hallam University. In May 2015 Tim passed his APC to become a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor. Since that time he has worked within our Office + Industrial Agency team, he was promoted to to Partner in April 2022.

With a now established network of contacts, Tim has considerable and rapidly expanding knowledge of the regional market, which he is able to impart to our clients.

Steve joined bf in 2017 and heads up our Valuation team. As a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, Steve has spent the majority of the last 20 years working across Hertfordshire, north and east London establishing a solid reputation for his Valuation work on behalf of a number of high street banks and other lending institutions.

Steve has a wealth of experience accross the commercial property sectors with a particular specialism in the appraisal of development sites, representing a variety of private developers and housing associations. Steve also advises a number of Local Authorities in relation to the acquisition, disposal and review of their property assests.

Stephanie joined the bf team in 2016, having spent 10 years gaining experience at several renowned commercial property Practices in London. She heads up the Property Management team which involves managing the day-to-day running of the department and developing our future portfolio. She was promoted to Partner in May 2022.

Having worked for private investors and large institutional landlords, Stephanie understands the needs of both our clients and their tenants and takes a proactive approach to the management of our clients’ Portfolios.

Simon joined the firm in 1988 and became a Partner in 1990. Simon has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 45 years’ and has undertaken a variety of lease advisory and valuation work including commercial property valuations for banks, local authority land appraisals, development consultancy and rating work.

Simon is well-known within the Watford business community for his expertise and is regularly used as a sounding board for his honest, informed and considered advice.

Peter joined the bf team in 2000 and became a Partner in 2004. Peter worked for both of the firms that merged to form Brasier Freeth and was instrumental in initiating the merger. Over the past 30 years’ Peter has amassed an extensive knowledge of the regional commercial property market. His exceptional insight enables him to provide our clients with informed considered advice.

As Head of our Office & Industrial Agency, Peter advises occupiers, landlords, investors and developers on all aspects of commercial property in NW London and the Northern Home Counties.

Ollie joined bf in 2019 as a graduate having completed a degree in Business Management at Surrey University. When Ollie first joined the practise his time was split between our Hemel Hempstead and Welwyn Garden City office assisting the Retail, Office & Industrial agency teams.

Ollie is currently working with the Retail & Leisure team based in our Kings Langley office.

Neil joined the bf team in 2004, having previously worked as a shop agent for a busy regional agency in North West London. Working within our Retail + Leisure Agency Team, Neil’s dedication to our clients’ success is evident through the longstanding relationships he has developed.

His portfolio now includes: acting as Outsourced Development Manager for a national hotelier, acquisitions of sites for a national supermarket, as well as retail acquisitions and disposals for several longstanding landlord and developer clients.

Mark is a Consultant to bf and has been working with our Retail + Leisure Agency team since 2009. Prior to consulting for bf, Mark held several high profile positions in London based retail and property investment firms. Mark has over 25 years’ industry experience, specialising in lease advisory work.

His diligent approach has earnt him an extensive portfolio of clients that he has successfully assisted, making savings for their businesses across the UK.

Lesley joined the bf Team in 2013, having spent 14 years working for a local Estate Agency. Whilst in her last position as Lettings Manager, she gained her qualification to become a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. At bf Lesley provides much-needed administrative support to our Valuation team and wider business.

Kerry joined the bf Team in 2013 as Office Manager and has since been promoted to the role of Director of HR and Administration. Prior to joining, Kerry spent over 15 years’ working in London for a diverse range of award-winning professional service firms. During this time she gained extensive office management experience and developed a broad skillset, perfect preparation for her current role overseeing the smooth-running of our multi-faceted Practice across four offices.

Formerly an Associate of bf, Katy is now working as a Consultant advising corporate, public sector and private clients on lease advisory and valuation matters. She is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over 10 years’ experience of working in both Private Practice and Local Government, Katy provides valuable assistance to our Lease Advisory and Valuation teams.

Julia joined the bf team in 1999 to provide administrative support to our Office + Industrial Agency and Valuation team. Before joining us, Julia worked in local government for 20 years. During her time with bf, Julia has seen the Practice grow considerably and she has amassed a broad knowledge of the firm.

Her busy role working across Departments involves managing the administration for both functions and ensuring all client enquiries receive a prompt response.

Graham joined the bf team in 2005, having spent 12 years working for a London-based Agency and 2 years locally in St Albans. He now has a further 15 years’ experience within our Office + Industrial Agency team. With a solid network of contacts and his finger on the local property pulse, he advises occupiers, landlords and developers on all aspects of commercial property in NW London and the Northern Home Counties.

Felix joined the bf team on our Graduate Programme and successfully passed his APC in February 2022. During his time with the firm he has gained experience in Commercial Agency, Landlord & Tenant and Valuation. As a newly qualified Chartered Surveyor, he is continuing his work in the Office & Industrial Agency Team. I


Following his studies, Daniel joined the bf team in 2016. His initial role was to provide administrative support to his colleagues in the Watford office. Within a short space of time, he showed a natural aptitude for Property Management and he changed position to provide much-needed hands-on support to Department head, Stephanie Ashman.

Daniel’s easy manner and his dedication to get-the-job-done are invaluable as the Team is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple properties.

Having joined bf in September 2019 as a Graduate Property Manager, Alex is now assisting with office and industrial agency as part of the bf Business Space team. Prior to joining Brasier Freeth, Alex studied Property Finance and Investment at Nottingham Trent and spent a year working in development management as part of his course.


Ann joined the bf team in 2008, having spent 13 years gaining extensive experience as a Management Accountant for the BBC. CIMA qualified, Ann is the Group Accountant overseeing the internal finance systems and processes and also the Property Management finances, ensuring clients receive accurate and timely reports on the finances of their portfolios.




Chris first worked for the bf team on a placement year in 2014 whilst studying for his Building Surveying degree at Nottingham Trent University. On completion, having attained First Class Honours he returned to us to start his Surveying career. Supported by his colleagues in the Building Surveying team he passed his APC in December 2018 and is now a fully qualified Chartered Building Surveyor acting as a Consultant for bf.


Claire joined the bf team in 2015 as a Partner within our Office + Industrial Agency Team. With over 25 years’ commercial property experience, Claire uses her extensive knowledge of the Hertfordshire market and network of contacts to identify new opportunities for her occupier, landlord, investor and developer clients. She also has experience of working client-side as the Leasing Manager at SEGRO (formerly Slough Estates).

Ivan joined the Retail + Leisure Agency team at bf in 1995, having started his career at one of the oldest surveying firms in London. Over the past 30 years Ivan has established an excellent reputation for his lease advisory work. His dedication to achieving the best results for his clients is renowned and has resulted in him securing a solid client list ranging from single store occupiers to multi-national retailers across the UK.

Jeremy joined bf in 1984 to set up the Professional Services Department and became a Partner in 1988. Jeremy is a Chartered Surveyor and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators with over 35 years’ experience advising both corporate and private clients.

His Lease Advisory expertise is also recognised by our professional body, the RICS – he is on the President’s Panel of Independent Experts and Arbitrators, acting regularly as appointed Dispute Resolver on rent reviews.
